Filmmaking & Visual Storytelling
I’ve always loved stories, both written and visual ones. When I was young, I’d tell endless stories around our family campfires.
Just before starting college I went on a two week film camp excursion with other young filmmakers to learn about filmmaking. It culminated with a collaborative project shooting a music video for the band, Wonderlove, on 16 mm film.
Film school
At college, I chose a university where I could pursue filmmaking and visual storytelling. I found exactly that at Chapman University. I also spent part of my time abroad at Bond University in Queensland, Australia taking their film and TV classes and participating in student TV projects.
I often took on contract work as a camera operator at local sporting events and would shoot packages for cable access at special events like the Special Olympics.
I participated in unique experiences at Chapman through the theatre program like the time Cirque du Soleil came to campus and shared their process on making costumes and props.
Film sets
To this day, wherever I go I aways have some kind of camera in my hand. It can be my iPhone or Cannon EOS Rebel T7.
After college, I interned on professional film sets working as a casting assistant working directly with the extras we brought on set. I led a product placement initiative for a wine brand I was working with at the time. The film was called American Fork.

Broadcast Journalism, Film & TV
Early in my Chapman University, I was involved with the late night, student-produced TV show, Nightcap.
I wore many hats and collaborated with many individuals all for a common goal; producing the best student-produced late night content in Orange County.
I also had the opportunity to represent the broadcast side of the film and television Panther house by hosting the annual Dodge College FTV awards with a fellow filmmaker, David May.

Artist
I’ve always loved to draw, paint and sketch. In high school, I took advanced art classes and eventually organized a group of fellow talented classmates to commission a design for and paint the “Angel Project” for the city of La Verne, California.

Athlete
I was never the kid that got into soccer or ballet. Instead, I tried out activities and sports like martial arts, making the dance team in high school and later getting into competitive ballroom dancing.
In 2015, I was in the Bay Area with a really fun group of outdoor obstacle race enthusiasts and we participated in many Spartan Races together (or alone, depending on how fast I felt like going :P). This is also where I began to learn about Olympic weightlifting.
Prior to this, from 2006-2015 I was in the LA area training and competing in the style of International Standard in competitive ballroom dance (DanceSport). My dance partner and I competed in 5 dances: waltz, tango, foxtrot, Viennese waltz and quickstep.
You could say I have VERY eclectic tastes when it comes to my active lifestyle.
