Face & Neck Moisturizer – Night time routine
Confidence In A Cream by IT Cosmetics is always on my vanity and a travel size is in my toiletry bag. I’ve been using this product for at least 5 years, maybe more, I’m going to be forty and people think I’m in my mid thirty’s. I use it almost nightly on my face, neck and decollate. I think it works well because I also have sunscreen in the products I wear daily. I typically purchase this on Amazon.
Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Oil-Free Resurfacing Cream is largely similar to the IT Cosmetics brand and I bought this at one point just to be able to mix things up now and again. It’s a really nice product and would be a great alternative every now and again or to have at a secondary location if you didn’t want to purchase two of the IT Cosmetics. This product typically retails (at least on Amazon) for about a fraction of the cost.
Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil has both brightened and hydrated my skin. I typically apply a small amount after a shower to let it really absorb into my skin. This is also part of the Biossance line of Reece Witherspoon’s skincare favorites. It smells incredible and really feels like a treat for your senses at the end of a long day. A tiny bit goes a long way. When I first purchased this product, I bought it in 1 fluid oz which is the larger size. But, once you click through to the product page I’ve linked to on Amazon, you’ll see it can also be purchased in a 0.4 fluid ounce size bottle; perfect starter size.
Biossance Squalane + Marine Algae Firming & Lifting Eye I apply this product directly around the creases in my eye area, so mostly the temple area. It always feels really nice and cool once applied. Lip Moisturizer
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask is a fantastic lip moisturizing product I learned about while in the dentist’s chair speaking with my hygienist. I never would have found it on my own because I really didn’t know about it. It’s reasonably priced so I picked one up and have really grown to love it. It’s something I use at night a few times a week and it works better than just putting on chapstick before bed. Now that we’re in Kentucky, I have to pay more attention to moisturizing my skin, face and lips in the months outside of the humid summers. This stuff works and it smells and tastes nice.
Daily Routine Moisturizing (before makeup)
Biossance Squalane + Copper Peptide Rapid Plumping Serum is a new favorite. I first heard about it when brand ambassador, Reece Witherspoon, shared on social media that the products were part of her skincare routine favorites. Daily Facial Moisturizer with Sunscreen
Jergens Natural Glow Self Tanner Face Moisturizer, SPF 20 Facial Sunscreen is a moisturizing product I always have on hand and travel with. It has SPF 20 which is a decent amount, but it’s especially a good product to use on days when you’re mostly inside working, catching up or basically only have a workout planned as your “out-of-the-house” to-do. I’ll link the other facial product I use when I’m actually going to be outside.
I also use Jergens body lotion for my legs and arms. It’s typically available at your local drugstore.
Murad Oil & Pore Reducing Facial Moisturizer – Acne Control Mattifier with Broad Spectrum SPF 45 I can’t say enough good things about this product in terms of skin care. Anytime I’m going to be outdoors for most of the day, I put on this product. I’m not an expert, but the mattifier aspect is such that it’s not greasy and offers protection from the sun without it smelling like straight up sunscreen. Murad is a great brand all around. They have lots of other skin care products worth looking into.
Fragrance
Calvin Klein Ck One for Men OK, call me crazy, but I’ve always loved the smell of CK One. I don’t care if it’s for men, I like it and I wear it. This bottle will last a long time especially if you already have one or two other daily perfumes you like to wear. Michael Kors By Michael Kors This is my primary fragrance go-to because, to me, it smells like plumeria flowers which are primarily found in Hawaii. Philosophy Falling in Love is my third go-to that I keep in stock. It has a really nice, fresh scent that’s practical and yet elevated for every day.
