This post is my product review of Sunday Lawn Care. I decided to try Sunday because, I fully admit I do not know what I’m doing when it comes to law care, but I want to use products that work, are easy to apply, and are safe for kids, pets and the environment.
I know, such a (an elder) Millennial.
So, here’s what we started with.
Region: Kentucky
How it started
We started the application in April 2024.

Now in late May/ early June, we’ve started the weed killer application.
Products used: Dandelion Doom & Weed Warrior

Holy smokes, they weren’t kidding. Before you buy one, definitely note the difference between the two products on Sunday’s website and order what’s right for your lawn & landscaping.
What I noted is that Dandelion doom is safer on lawns and landscaped areas; it will kill weeds but not grass & plants. Whereas Weed Warrior is best on patios, sidewalks, and mulch areas. It’s recommended to NOT use this on a lawn. And they’re correct—it obliterated the weeds (and any 🌱 around it).
I sprayed some of the Weed Warrior on the bigger weeds in the lawn and the darkened patches are the result just a few short hours later. I’ll likely do a second pass through on concentrated areas (after the rain subsides) b/c I personally feel some of these weeds have been left to grow too long. I happen to be more of a maintenance person.
How it’s going
Witness our blades of glory, friends! 🙂 Lawn status as of early July is a mix of new grass and definitely still weeds (it’s just that season) but overall it’s looking good. And Rizzo enjoys enjoying himself in the sunshine wherever he finds himself on the lawn.
Not too shabby.

It does appear that we have more varietal types of grass. I can only kind of identify Bermuda grass. So I’ll have to keep on top of the weed spray.

The front lawn is looking good! Many of the brown spots filled in with, at least, something green. 😎

Serious question tho, what do I do with these? 🍄🟫

Don’t worry, I’m a former Girl Scout so we’re not eating anything, obviously, but they’re definitely fun to watch progress and grow.
Pros/cons of Sunday Lawn Care
Pro: overall, I’m pleased. The schedule feature is helpful but the local weather doesn’t always cooperate so our application consistency has been spotty.
What’s nice is that on their website they seems to run a lot of promotions so you can buy and try a lot of products at a discounted price. Or stock up on weed killer products like I do 😉
Con: we didn’t apply the application at the right calendar month (due to weather & planned travel). when I messaged the professionals to ask what we should do to adjust they said basically just stay the course. So it’s some manual adjustment on our end calculating out when to apply the next application. It would be nice if in your account, once logged in, they offered a dynamic calendar that adjusts the recommendations based on the days/ month when you actually apply the product.
Because, ya know, seasons don’t care but I like to do my part to use the products as directed. The guided application recommendations is part of what you pay for.
Why you should trust me
You literally don’t have to. If you’re interested, my qualifications are that I’m a first-time home owner in Louisville, Kentucky. I don’t own a lawnmower (yikes?) and have a basic array of gardening tools. I’ve purchased these products with my own money. I’m not being paid or sponsored to say and share this here on my personal blog (so you get the dirt!).
Why I do it: I’m just trying to do my part in my corner of the world highlighting great products for my pets, family and the environment with the products I choose to buy and apply.
