As I browse the online deals this Cyber Monday, I have a song stuck in my head:
“last Christmas I gave you my heart
but the very next day you gave it away.
This year, to save me from tears,
I’ll give it to someone special…”
In my head, I’m mentally swapping out the word “heart” for “wallet” 😉 That’s right, shoppers, the cyber holiday is here! It’s the time when customers decide who gets the plastic in their wallet.
Full disclosure here, I work for the digital team at Macy’s on the macys.com website. I shop the site and purchase items for myself, my friends and family. I’m not making any additional kick-back by writing this blog post; I simply love sharing good deals on things you’ll actually use/wear and products that will enhance your quality of life.
Quick note: some of the items I’m linking to below may be out of stock (hey, it’s shopping season. Gotta be quick!). They’re great products and will hopefully come back into stock but I can’t be accountable if they’re unavailable at the time you click through. Bookmark it for later 😉
Pro tip: use an online note-taking tool like Evernote and start a note detailing your “Cyber Holiday shopping/ Wish List.” That way, you can easily keep track of the websites you want to shop. Bonus points if you also include the estimated price so you can keep an eye on your budget. Don’t go crazy, kids, savings are important too.
Serious Cyber Finds
My husband and I already knew we wanted to upgrade our couch since earlier this year. We ended up finding a great deal on one from Macy’s that fit our apartment living room, plus it has a storage element for blankets (and I can stash my fuzzy socks!). We got to customize the fabric and color. We’re really happy with it – and so are our now, supported backs.

I know what you’re thinking, Santa must also have a new TV to go with that couch, right? In our case, yes, yes he did J It’s no surprise Black Friday & Cyber Monday have some of the best electronics deals. What most people may not realize is that retailers start offering these deals weeks before the major Thanksgiving shopping weekend. In our case, we were ale to purchase a 55” LG 4K TV at Best Buy for under $400 in October. On Cyber Monday, it’s retailing at $329.99

Ok, once you’re done shopping on macys.com, here are a few other brands I feel deserve your dollar.
Last I checked, they’re all having Cyber sales today 12/2/19.
Dooney & Burke
I have a hard time resisting their craftsmanship and leather handbags almost as much as I can resist a good deal. They have the best quality leather and are effortlessly stylish. I especially love their bags for commuting and travel in general because they’re so durable.
Alp-n-Rock
I love this brand because of the quality and design on their Henley shirts. They’re fashionable and functional – the last two I bought I’ve worn while visiting Utah in the winter. This year, I purchased two more (grey & black) from their sale to update my winder wardrobe.
The Chestee
I hadn’t heard of this company before but their product (a sports bra for weightlifters) is a great idea for female Cross-Fit athletes. My gym coach turned me onto this recently. I bought two of their padded weightlifting bras (same style, different color & size). I’m looking forward to trying them out carrying around a 30 lb dumbbell on my shoulder and not having it dig into my collarbone. Problem solved. Thank you (me) for treating me.
Matanzas Creek Wine
Cyber sale: 25% off sale on wines. I should probably be a spokesperson for them b/c we dropped a lot of money at their winery this Thanksgiving weekend when we picked up our Wine Club shipment. But, in my opinion, it’s our treat to ourselves as newlyweds living two hours from Napa Valley and it’s totally worth it. We ended up purchasing a discounted case of merlot which is fabulous to have on hand for the odd dinner party and/or host gift.

I hope you enjoyed my cyber finds. It was fun to share them with you. This is by no means a comprehensive list. It’s just my opinion and where I happen to personally spend my hard-earned dough because I love products that are well made and practical. Word to the wise: Do not spend money you don’t have. If you can afford it, use a debit card and buy it outright. Saving is better than spending but if you must spend, spend wisely.
Your holiday hunter,
Holly
